Easter '08!

Here are Ethan's Egg dying skilz in action.. Note the happy dance at the end of the second video

This was Andrew's first Easter dying eggs, and I must say, he was a natural. I just had to keep him from drinking from the dye mugs. As you can see in the video at the end egg dying is hunger inducing, thirsty work..

The fruits (or rather eggs) of all their labor...

Why it's great to have little boys...

...because you never know when you'll find a MotorStorm in your livingroom.

Hiking at Shadow Cliffs

Rich, the boys and I have started to go on hikes every weekend (except when it rains). Here are some pictures from our first hike down the north side of Shadow Cliffs, which is a couple miles from our house.

Andrew running to catch up with Big Brother.

Ethan looking for the best place to stop and have a MONSTER JAM!

My sweet boys. I can't believe they actually sat next to each other and smiled long enough for me to actually take this picture!

Their favorite part of the hike was throwing rocks into the lake. Here they are selecting the perfect throwing rocks. In case you were wondering what the perfect throwing rocks are, it's the bigger the better.

Ethan looking quite proud after a particularly good splash was made.

Why you don't leave a 20 month old unsupervised.

I was out shopping, Rich was out front visiting with the neighbors, Ethan was playing a video game and apparently Andrew was creating an elaborate snack tableau.... When Rich and I first came in we were quickly greeted by a very guilty looking Andrew. The first thing we saw was the cookie box with the lid ripped off sitting on the table. I asked Andrew how many cookies he had eaten and happened to glance over into the kitchen to behold....

From left to right: A box of Ritz, a box of Graham Cracker sticks, a bottle of lemonade, a fruit cup, a cup of minestrone soup with a fruit cup on top, half of a vanilla sandwich cookie (frosting side, with a little bite, the other half of the vanilla sandwich cookie, a tube of cat treats with a half eaten sandwich cookie on top, a box of cat food packets resting partially on top of two of the packets, two more partially eaten vanilla sandwich cookies twisted apart.

Hair Cuts!

Andrew went and had his first haircut last Friday! He is growing up much to fast for my taste!

More fun at First Christmas

We took a little trip to the park down the street during our visit too.

Andrew figuring out the stairs

Ethan figuring out the rope ladder.

Aw, look they can play together.

Daddy, watching TV with his boys.

1st Christmas 2007

We were going to IL for Christmas, so we had a nice first Christmas with Gramma and Papa Kuster in Bakersfield. We all had a really nice time and of course the boys loved opening their presents.

Andrew's Super Cool Mural

During Grandma's visit she was able to add a little excitement to Andrew's walls.

He loves it and says 'Nigh nigh' to his rocket ship, astronaut, stars and Earth every night.

Thanksgiving, kind of...

We had Thanksgiving Dinner over at the Ott's this year (or last year). For some reason I don't have many pictures, but here are a few of the whole weekend. Mom, Dad and Great Grand made it up for the festivities.Dad pitching to Aiden. Andrew is ready to field the ball.

I think Andrew is being ejected from the game. He can get a bit confrontational.

Oh, how could I forget, Dash came to visit too. Andrew is getting ready to take him for a walk.

Here is just about everyone relaxing at our place on a believe the day after. Mom, Devon and I actually got up supper early and went out and did some shopping. It was a lot of fun, but I'm glad I had a whole weekend to recuperate.

My boys being cuties.

A Brief Interlude

Yes, we did celebrated Ethan's B-day!

Oh, my I had no idea how bad I'd been! Here are some outtakes from E's big 4 year bash.

The banner, with a believe that is Hayes making a grand entrance, or more likely and exit.

Blowing out the candles. I can't believe I actually got the shot.

Tearing into the pile of presents....

Enjoying, well trying to figure out his new scooter.

Aiden, Brady and Ethan in mid ride. I'm glad we live in a courtyard, but they still make me nervous zooming around like that.

The Adventures Continue

Yes, we are still alive. I've just been a bit busy...er... lazy this year. So I know this first post isn't really of my kids, but it kind of leads into a new feature I'm going to try and start adding to the blog. Ethanisms... I was playing the trailer below on my computer this morning and as soon as the theme music started Ethan and Andrew came running over. Ethan asked, "What is that". So I explained. Ethan watched for two seconds and declared, "Hey that guys in Star Wars!" Ah, that's my boy, 4 years old and can already make a Star Wars reference, I must be doing something right. Enjoy the trailer and I promise actual pictures of my actual kids throughout the day.
