This week, in the Bielawski House...

Okay, I'm a little late for this one, Ethan was actually Child of the Day on 9/20/07, but of course by the time I got home Ethan was not going to wear the crown again. I finally got him the put it on again this afternoon. And he kindly reenacted his excitement for the camera.

This weekend was the grand opening of the new Performing Arts Theater in Livermore. Our neighbors band was playing in the amphitheater out front, so we went out to hear the band and tour the new theater. Ethan of course found the new walls and walkways of the amphitheater a perfect place to play hot wheels! Surprise, surprise.

Here is Andrew enjoying a smoothie during the concert.

Andrew was also practicing his sharing skills. He'd take a sip and then make sure that either Momma or Daddy had a drink next.

Ethan and I made our first batch of spooky cookies in preparation for Halloween.

Coming up next week. The Loral Picnic and perhaps a preview of the boys Halloween costumes.

This week, in the Bielawski House...

The Bielawski Clan didn't do much of anything this week or weekend, which was actually quite heavenly thank you very much. But I still have a few pix of the kiddos doing their thing, enjoy.

Aw, isn't he cute? Sitting in his chair all nice and quiet like, patiently waiting for his dinner...

Ethan now likes to help me make breakfast on weekend mornings, we usually have pancakes of waffles, this morning he helped to mix up the ingredients for the waffles. Note, the look of concentration/disgust on his face.

While, Ethan and I were cooking, Andrew decided that the spice cabinet was in serious need of rearranging. Here he is, checking out the use by dates on the salt. Luckily the containers were closed and the means to open them Andrew proof.

Andrew showing off the results of all his hard work. No worries though I asked him nicely and he put it all back into the cupboard, though I may never find the pepper again. He has a little different approach to organization than I do...

Ethan and Andrew working off their Sunday morning waffle breakfast with a little wresting in the bounce house. I think Andrew won.

A Trip to the Park

I took the boys to the park this Sunday morning for a pre football wearing out. Here are their adventures...A quick stop for some dirt play. Andrew had a little sample (it was a bit dry, but the dirt covered rocks were quite tasty).

Bielawski, Andrew Bielawski

Getting ready to go down the slide. Hope you can see their smiling faces.

Suspension bridges are tough when you're a little guy

I need to work on the self portrait taking, but E looks so cute I had to post it.

Happy swinging baby!

Happy swinging boy!

Climbing the slide.

Climbing the slide?

Jumping out of the tree! What a big boy he is now!

Renaissance Faire!

This weekend's outing was a trip to the Renaissance Faire. We were actually a bit out of place, most people were dressed in period costume and really into character.
What's wrong with this picture?

Yummy! Giant turkey leg.

Gimme more of that stuff. Nice touch with the fly on the side of his head huh?

Finally the knights!

Andrew loved the horses, they let you pet them after they finished. Andrew was all into that! Nice sweaty horse pets, fun!

Here is one of the jousts that we saw, pretty cool stuff.

Mr. Drew is having a refreshing drink of water, while Ethan jumps the hay bales, all the while there is a very bawdy show going right over their heads in the background.

Here is Ethan in mid jump. Pretty good form huh?

Gimme a hug!

Can you kind the Ethan in the haystack?

And here is the turtle who ended our day at the Renaissance Faire. Apparently he wasn't too fond of Ethan's offering and bit him. Ouchy. It was just a little nip so no worries. But it did lead to a pretty good Ethanism later that afternoon. After we made it back from the RenFaire we rested up a bit and then ran over to Costco, on the way back home from that trip, Rich was making some conversation and said to Ethan, "I can't believe how big that turkey leg was today, and you guys ate all of it!". To which Ethan replies, "I can't believe that turtle bit me!" Funny guy my E. He also refuses to let me bandage his wound, "I want to show it to Aiden!" he tells me testily every time I suggest a band-aid.

The First Day of Preschool!

Putting on his shoes, I think he wound up putting them on the wrong feet and Daddy had to help fix them up. First day jitters, although I heard that today he went to school all day with his shoes on the wrong feet...

Walking out the door with his back pack on all ready to go.

Walking out to the car. Oh and and Andrew sighting as well.

Getting himself all buckled into his car seat. Again there was a later assist by Daddy.

And here he is getting out of the car. At this point he asked me, "Mama? Why are you taking so many pictures?"

Getting ready to go into the classroom. "Hey nice backpack!"

Checking out some cool classroom displays

Some 'pre'-school puzzl'n

This is at the end of the day. When we got there to pick him up all the kids were lining up to come in from the playground. This picture was taken when Ethan finally saw us as he was coming down the hallway.

First day of school is all done!

This week, in the Bielawski House...

Here are some random shots from everyday life at the Bielawski House.

Aw, aren't they little angels playing together so well?

Ethan and I at Super Franks (yet another variant on the Chuck E. Cheese thang). Ethan added the placard at the last second.

Our brilliant one! His ball was under that bed and he was going in to get it...right between the foot board and the bed post.

See, we really are capable of all sitting together, looking in the same direction, kind of smiling and not blinking when the shutter closes.

And your moment of Zen....

Welcome to the JUNGLE!

This lat weekend we took the boys to The Jungle! Basically a Chuck E. Cheese on steroids. Needless to say the boys had a great time and they really, really didn't want to leave.

Andrew in heaven. A whole pit full of colored balls! Yeah!

Uh oh, maybe there is something better to do 'over there'?

Ethan in the big kid ball pit.

Coming out of the slide. It took a lot of work to make it over to this slide. The hamster tubes at this place are crazy! The go up at least a couple stories in some places.

Andrew giving the Jungle his vote of approval!
